YOM offers two participation options for node operators: self-hosted and delegated nodes. Each has unique advantages and requirements.
To self-host, a participant receives the Host hardware with the custom operating system which is pre-assigned two node licenses. This device is a bootable drive that controls your gaming rig for the hours you designate to run the host. Additional node operating licenses can be purchased to increase yield, depending on the gaming rig performance.
Running the YOM Node Host on a gaming PC allows you to maximize earnings, with the potential to earn $32 to $140 per month per node license, depending on GPU power, workload demand, and uptime. However, self-hosting requires maintaining hardware, ensuring uptime, and monitoring network conditions.
For the best understanding of your eligibility and capacity, install and run the YOM Node Inspector application found here and consider the results before deciding to purchase.

Delegated node licenses allow operators to lease their licenses to a Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) provider, who manages all technical aspects. Delegated operators can earn an average of $77 per month per node after a delegation fee determined by the NaaS provider. This is a lower-maintenance option for those who prefer a passive income stream.
Choosing between self-hosted and delegated nodes depends on your technical expertise, available hardware, and preferred level of involvement.
