Installation Guide

Certain gaming rig configurations will automatically recognize the external device as the primary boot drive, and will be entirely Plug and Play. However, as some systems will require a change in the boot order, this installation guide provides instructions for both. If you are unsure, following the instructions for setting up Plug and Play is advised.

Setting up Plug and Play

  1. Bitlocker disabled: Open Control Panel, click System and Security, navigate to Bitlocker Drive Encryption and disable it & store the recovery key in a safe location

  2. Booting in the bios: Restart the computer and hit the designated key to enter the boot menu if you're unsure what key this is the most common keys are F2, F8, F12 & DEL.

  3. Advanced settings: Look for the advanced settings menu and find the corresponding key to navigate to the menu, F2, F7, F8 are most commonly used

  4. Boot order: navigate to the boot tab in the advanced menu and look for the boot order settings. Select the node as the first option. (tester note Ubuntu Exascend)

  5. Save the settings: navigate to the Save setting tab and select Save changes and restart or something similar to this

Plug and Play Installation

  1. Plug in the Device: Insert the pre-configured SSD or USB device into your gaming PC.

  2. Boot Your Computer: The system will automatically launch the YOM Node OS.

  3. Register Your Node: A QR code will appear on the screen. Scan it using the wallet that contains your $YRX tokens.

  4. Automatic Setup: The YOM Node OS downloads necessary updates and finalizes the setup. The display will show what stages of the installation youโ€™re in.

  5. Monitor & Manage: A QR code will appear on the screen. Scan it to track node performance and earnings.
